Pinus Koraiensis: The main variety exported, called Red pine nut. The forest is located in the Northeast China. The count for this variety is 550-750pcs 100g. China also import from North Korea, the count for North Korean Kernel is about 700-800pcs.

Pinus Sibirica: All imported from Russia, also called Cedar or Snow pine nut. The count is 950-1300pcs per 100g.

Pinus Yunnanensis: The forest is mainly located in Yunnan province where is southwest of China. The count for this variety is 950-1300pcs per 100g, regular count of Yunnan pine nut is 1200pcs.

Pinus Armandii: The forest is mainly located in Shanxi and Gansu province, called Huashan pine nut. The count is very small, 1200-1800pcs per 100g with a pronounced bitter taste. These are considered as food processing industrial use.

Pinus Massoniana: The quantity is very limited every crop and they are all coming from Inner Mongolia. Also called Horsetail pine nut, the count is about 2200-240pcs per 100g.
